I want to see a film. I don't know what it's called, but a three second clip was featured in 'Cinema Paradiso'.
Right after Toto returns from Miliary duty (I'm guessing the mid-fifties), he screens a B&W film which features a blond-ish short haired woman doing a tropical (think Carmen Miranda) song and dance number.
Anyone know the film? I'd like to check it out.

Thu, December 4, 2003 - 8:19 PMSomebody should have a site where they list every clip used in that film. Or it should be in the credits of the film (you'd think). -

Sat, December 6, 2003 - 10:37 AMYou'd think...I've tried searching to no avail (I can never seem to filter out all the places SELLING cinema paradiso from the list--and there's a lot), and there's nothing in the credits. I've also written numerous letters to Cristaldifilm in Rome (the rightsholder who should have been able to provide evidence of clearance to American distributors)...no answer to any of them. If you find a good search string, I'd love to know about it! -

Wed, April 14, 2004 - 12:29 AMIt could be this one: Et Dieu... créa la femme
It stars Brigitte Bardot. One of the user comments on the site said that she dances to Caribbean music in the film. -
