Yep I know about the concurrent deaths of these GIANTS...its what made me dig up my very rare russian DVD of Zabriskie Point [dont ask]. More then a statement of Vietnam, the film is a scathing observation of the American way of life. Not a pretty picture. Its what makes the film seem very fresh on many levels. The same corporate mentality has only flourished since the early seventies. A prophetic film on the shallow soulessness that is devouring our culture.

I just revisited Zabriskie Point. Man oh man is this movie much better then I remembered. Awesome even. Don't know why it carries such a bad rep. Too bad its barely available.
