Michelangelo Antonnioni's "The Passenger" is finally coming out on DVD in a couple of weeks. One of my all time favorite movies EVER.

    sorry for the late answer...
I love Antonioni, and I will check "The Passenger".
I recently rediscovered "The Zabrinsky point" about the US in the '70, brilliant.

yep, the girl is hot ans so is the main guy.

a desert scene not hot, is not a desert scene...

speaking of desert... I remember wondering about the effect of sand and rubbing action on ... delicate ... parts of the human body....

I just revisited Zabriskie Point. Man oh man is this movie much better then I remembered. Awesome even. Don't know why it carries such a bad rep. Too bad its barely available.

The movie is obviously against the Vietnam war, that's why it was forbidden in the states for the 10 years.

A few days ago, the great master died with Bergman.
              R.I.P.

Yep I know about the concurrent deaths of these GIANTS...its what made me dig up my very rare russian DVD of Zabriskie Point [dont ask]. More then a statement of Vietnam, the film is a scathing observation of the American way of life. Not a pretty picture. Its what makes the film seem very fresh on many levels. The same corporate mentality has only flourished since the early seventies. A prophetic film on the shallow soulessness that is devouring our culture.
